Importance guidance for CA students and newly Qualified

Now that the interview season is on for the recently qualified CA's I would like to list out some of the basic prelims, skills and questions which you must prepare before hand.

  1. 1) Since still most of the interviews are being conducted virtually try to get a hang of some of the common apps being used for interviews such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meet.
  3. 2) Get a good pair of headphones with a good mike and have a trial call with anyone before your interview to see its working properly. Join the call 5-10 mins before scheduled time to avoid any last minute hassles.
  5. 3) Prepare an interview setup in your home with good lighting, less disturbance and proper internet connectivity.
  7. 4) Prepare some of the basic questions thoroughly which are asked in most of the interviews like - Walk me through your CV/ Tell me about yourself; Why Chartered Accountancy; Why our company; And the most important is 'Do you have any Questions for us'. These are few questions which must be on your tips before appearing for any interview.
  9. 5) Go through the job description of the position you are giving interview, many of the technical questions might be asked from that aswell.
